Maine Results Inc., doing business as G3 Carpentry, is a Boise, Idaho–based restoration, repair, and custom carpentry company serving homeowners and property owners throughout the Treasure Valley. Led by owner John R. Wilkins, the company specializes in craftsmanship-driven carpentry repairs, wood restoration, finish trim, custom built-ins, and practical solutions for water, rot, storm, and general property damage.
Founded by John Wilkins, Maine Results Inc. reflects his decades of experience building and operating contracting businesses in Philadelphia, Maine, and Idaho. The company operates under the G3 Carpentry name and positions itself around a simple standard: “Craftsmanship cannot be mass produced.”
Rather than focusing on high-volume production work, Maine Results emphasizes careful assessment, durable repairs, clear communication, and workmanship that holds up over time. The business serves residential clients, landlords, property managers, and owners of older or damaged homes who need a dependable contractor for restoration and repair projects.

A defining strength of Maine Results is repair-first restoration. Instead of automatically recommending full replacement, John Wilkins evaluates whether damaged doors, frames, trim, or wood components can be repaired effectively—often saving clients money while preserving the original character of the property.
Customer reviews highlight this approach in practice: one Boise client reported that John repaired water-damaged and rotten wood in a door opening and took steps to prevent future problems; another said he repaired interior doors that appeared to require full frame replacement, completing the work for about one-third of the expected cost.
Maine Results is known for responsive scheduling, straightforward estimates, detailed explanations, and follow-through. Reviews consistently mention punctuality, professionalism, clear communication, reasonable pricing, attention to detail, and a willingness to return for minor adjustments after the initial project.
Clients also value that John explains what he is doing, why it is necessary, and what options are available before work begins. This consultative approach helps homeowners make informed decisions about repairs, replacements, materials, and long-term maintenance.
